Is gout suffering related to your diet?

As it the case for many health issues, I like to start with this question. Are you eating healthy? I talk to many customers daily who assure me their diet is pretty good. What is the standard for healthy eating? I think one needs to look far beyond the average American diet. I would like to share with you an idea that got me into the health and nutrition field many years ago. There is an organization called the Biogenic Society and the link to their website is http://www.communityofpeace.net/Britxt/Binternat.htm. It is a faith-based affiliation that believes in eating as much 'live' food as possible. Live food would be food not cooked, frozen, our altered from its' fresh picked or harvested state. There is virtue in that reasoning. Vital enzymes needed for optimum health are destroyed through cooking, freezing or processing. A key part of the aging process may be in the bodys' inablility to easily manufacture enzymes as we grow older. Supplementation of enzymes can be achieved by eating raw fresh product.

The Biogenic Society believes in growing your own produce as much as possible. The orgainzation also sells non-profit religious books which may be of great interest to many people. I absolutely concur with the idea of consuming raw food as much as possible for optimum health.
